Introduction to Portrait Drawing

Description: Introduction to Portrait Drawing offers participants a concentrated foundation in portrait drawing, working from a live model over the course of three, 2-hour evening sessions. Instruction will focus on foundational drawing techniques, construction of the head, and rendering features. All experience levels welcome. Drawing boards and easels will be available; participants are responsible for bringing their own paper and drawing tools.
About the instructor: Simeon Youngmann is an artist living and working in the Hoosick Falls, NY area. Simeon received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and drawing from SUNY New Paltz in 2013 and his Master of Fine Arts from SUNY Albany in 2016. Simeon has taught art in a number of settings, including organizations for the arts and education cooperatives, and is currently an adjunct instructor of Life Drawing at SUNY Albany, and Basic Design I at Siena college.
